Clare’s Approach
Relationship difficulties are rarely about one isolated issue. Past experiences, communication styles, changing circumstances, intimacy, expectations and the way people respond to each other can all influence how a relationship feels.
Clare works with clients to explore these patterns and better understand what may be contributing to difficulties in the present.
Counselling is not about taking sides or telling somebody whether they should stay in or leave a relationship. It can help individuals and couples understand what is happening, communicate more effectively where possible and gain greater clarity about the way forward.
Psychosexual therapy provides a similarly confidential space to explore concerns relating to sex and intimacy, including differences in desire, erectile difficulties, painful sex and psychological or physical barriers to sexual intimacy.
Appointments
Clare offers face-to-face counselling from a comfortable and discreet counselling room in Shirrell Heath, Hampshire, SO32 2JN. Online sessions are also available via Zoom, together with telephone counselling.
A free 15-minute telephone consultation is available if you would like to discuss whether relationship counselling or psychosexual therapy may be right for you and/or your partner.
